Neighbor Gifts can bring you joy or strike fear in your heart? I’ve definitely experienced Christmas’s with both emotions. Friends, family, teachers, neighbors, church members, the list always seems to grow! But if it causes you worry and stress, it is not worth it. I hope these THREE Christmas neighbor gift ideas will take the stress away, and make your neighbor gift giving fun and easy whatever stage of the process you’re in.
#1 Christmas Wrapping Paper Neighbor Gift
Supplies needed
- A roll of Wrapping paper
- Red String
- Red Scrapbook paper
- Gift tag (you can download it here)
- Scissors
- Glue Stick
- Hole punch
Step 1
This neighbor gift is so easy but one that everyone loves. The first thing you need to do is make the tag. I created this darling tag for you to use. Get it here.
Step 2
After I printed the tag, I cut it out and glued it down to a piece of red scrapbook paper. Then trimmed the paper to make a cute border around the tag.
Step 3
The last thing to do is take your ribbon or string and tie the tag to the wrapping paper. I changed the ribbon from the first photo because it was to thick to put through the tag.
Just like that this darling neighbor gift is done!! I know your neighbors will love it. Who doesn’t need some wrapping paper to finish up all of those last minute Christmas presents.
#2 Christmas Owl Neighbor Gift
Supplies Needed
- Small Owl (I got mine at Dollar Tree, but I linked one here for you.)
- White Chalk Paint (Get it here.)
- Paintbrush
- Owl Poem
- Black Scrapbook Paper
- Glue Stick
Step 1
The first step for this darling neighbor gift is to paint over the entire owl with your white chalk paint. I painted 2 coats to make sure it is covered well. Allow the paint to dry completely.
Step 2
After the paint is dry, take your sandpaper and rub it over the edges and grooves to give it an antique look that will add character to the owl. Just like that, the Owl is done.
Step 3
Next print out the Christmas Owl Poem (get it here) and glue it to any scrapbook paper. I used black paper to border the poem.
Just like that you are done!! It is so beautiful and the poem is one of my favorites!!! I know this will be a FAVORITE gift for years to come.
#3 Wooden Block “Have a Merry Christmas” Sign
Supplies Needed
- 2 x 4 wooden block cut 6 inches in height
- Folkart Wax in Antique
- Apple Barrel Paint in the color Kelly Green
- Paint Brush
- Merry Christmas Tree Tag
- Green Scrapbook Paper
- Glue Stick
- Have a Merry Christmas Vinyl
- Scissors
- Jute String
Step 1
The first thing I did making this neighbor gift was stain the back and sides of the wooden block with my Hello Hobby Wax.
Step 2
Then I took the green paint and painted the front side of the wooden block.
Step 3
After the paint was dry, I took the Antique wax and brushed it over the green paint to give it a Rustic look.
Step 4
Now it is time to add the “Have a Merry Christmas” Vinyl to your sign. When you apply the vinyl, you’ll want to leave some room towards the top of the sign. The FONT is so cute and I love how it looks. You can purchase the vinyl cutout right here. I also sanded around the edges of the green paint, this step is not necessary but I love the way it looks.
Step 5
Now it is time to add the jute string around the top. You want to wrap the string around the top three times and then tie if off with a simple bow in the front.
Step 6
The last thing is to make the cute tag. I made the graphic for it and you can download it right here. Print it out and glue the tag to some green scrapbook paper to make a cute border around it. Now simply take a hole punch and make a hole in the tag. Tie it onto the sign with some jute string.
I think it turned out so BEAUTIFUL and will be the perfect gift for your family and friends.
I hope that this BLOG will help ease your Holiday stress. Christmas Neighbor Gifts can be FUN and Easy to Make!!!
