This delightful dessert combines a chocolate cookie pie crust, velvety chocolate pudding, luscious whipped topping, and a generous helping of chocolate sandwich cookies. It’s a slice of heaven in every bite. So, grab your apron, and let’s get started on making this delectable treat!

To Make Cookies and Cream Chocolate Pie, You will Need the Following:

Tools:

Ingredients:

  • 1 store-bought cookie crust or homemade chocolate cookie pie crust
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 2 small boxes (3.4 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 8 oz frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 10 chocolate sandwich cookies

Instructions:

Prepare the Chocolate Cookie Pie Crust:

You can use a store-bought one or make your own using this chocolate cookie crust recipe. If you decide to make your own, be sure it’s cooled and ready to go before you begin the next steps.

Mix the Chocolate Pudding:

Pour 2 cups of cold milk into a large bowl. Add the two small boxes of instant chocolate pudding mix. Using a hand mixer or a whisk, beat the mixture for about 2 minutes or until it becomes smooth and well-blended.

Layer the Pie:

Spoon 3/4 of the chocolate pudding on the prepared chocolate cookie crust. This layer will serve as the chocolatey foundation for your pie.

Prepare the Creamy Topping:

Combine the remaining 1/4 of the chocolate pudding mixture with the thawed frozen whipped topping in a separate bowl. Gently fold them together until they are fully incorporated.

Add the Cookies:

Coarsely chop 8 of the chocolate sandwich cookies. Then, fold them into the whipped topping and pudding mixture. This will infuse your pie with bits of chocolate cookie goodness.

Adding the Creamy Topping:

Evenly spread the whipped topping and cookie mixture over the top of the chocolate pudding layer.

Finish with Cookie Crumbs:

Crush the remaining two cookies into small pieces and sprinkle them on top of the pie. This final touch adds a decorative element and provides an extra burst of cookie flavor and texture.

Chill and Serve:

Place your Cookies and Cream Chocolate Pie in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or until it’s fully set and ready to serve. This chill time allows the flavors to meld and the pie to achieve the perfect consistency.

Can I make my Oreo crust?

I’ve designed the recipe with the convenience of a pre-made Oreo crust from the store, but you can craft your own, just as I did in the photos above. Preparing your own chocolate cookie pie crust is a straightforward process, and I’ve provided a link to my chocolate cookie pie crust recipe for those who wish to elevate their dessert-making experience.

There you have it – a simple yet incredibly indulgent recipe for Cookies and Cream Chocolate Pie. With its layers of chocolatey goodness and the delightful surprise of crushed chocolate cookies, this dessert will satisfy your sweet tooth and leave you and your guests craving more. Whether for a special occasion or a casual treat, this pie is bound to be a hit. Enjoy every mouthwatering slice!
