Ingredients

  • 4 cups honey nut Chex cereal
  • 2 cups of pretzels
  • 1 (6oz) bag of Caramel Bugles
  • ¼ cup of melted butter
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp of Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 (8oz) bag of Halloween M&M's
  • 1 cup of harvest candy mix (candy corn and candy pumpkins)
  • ½ cup of Reese's Pieces

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the honey nut Chex cereal, pretzels, and Caramel bugs. This combination of textures will give your snack mix a perfect balance of crunch and chewiness.
  • In a separate small bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, Pumpkin Pie Spice, and vanilla extract. The aromatic pumpkin spice blend will fill your kitchen with a warm, comforting fragrance
  • Pour the sweet and spicy mixture over the dry ingredients in the large mixing bowl. Gently stir to ensure that every piece is evenly coated. This step is crucial for infusing the irresistible pumpkin spice flavor into every bite.
  • Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a Silpat mat for easy cleanup. Spread the coated mixture evenly on the baking sheet. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even coating and prevent burning. Your house will be filled with the mouthwatering aroma of pumpkin spice – consider it a bonus!
  • Once out of the oven, spread the mix onto wax paper to cool. While it's still slightly warm, toss in the Halloween M&M's, harvest candy mix (candy corn and candy pumpkins), and Reese's Pieces. The warmth of the mixture will make these candies slightly melt, creating a delightful fusion of flavors and textures.
  • Transfer your Pumpkin Spice Snack Mix to an airtight container after everything has cooled and melded together. Be prepared to reach for hearty handfuls of this delicious blend whenever you need a fall-inspired snack fix.
