Farmhouse “Believe” Ornament DIY

I love to decorate my Christmas Tree with darling wooden ornaments. Every year I try to add at least one new ornament to my tree. I think this ornament would be a perfect addition.

The supplies I will be using for this are:

1. Shiplap bulb ornament. (I got this from Michaels)

2. White, brown and red paint. Foam paintbrush

3. Scissors, Mod Podge, glue sticks and glue gun

4. Red and white scrapbook paper.

5. Polka dot ribbon. (I got this from Dollar Tree)

6. Christmas floral pick. (I got this from Dollar Tree)

7. Snowflake stencil (I ordered this from Amazon. The link is below)

8. BELIEVE vinyl lettering (I can cut any vinyl for you)

The first thing I did was paint the front of my ornament with white chalk paint. (Don’t mind my ornament, hahahaha. I didn’t have an extra one so I printed off what it looks like, on my printer.)

After the white paint was dry, I used this brown paint to make the ornament look distressed and antiqued. I brushed it around the edges and into the grooves on the wood. (I am laughing so hard at this printed cut out!!!!!!)

Next I took this snowflake stencil and put it over the whole ornament. I used a foam brush, some red paint and very lightly applied the paint to the ornament. Here is the link to where I purchased the stencil. It comes in a pack of 10 and I ordered it from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08GG41Q5D/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I then took this really cute polka dot ribbon and glued it to the center of the ornament, with my hot glue gun. I next measured my red scrapbook paper, cut it to size, and hot glued it onto the ribbon. I took my BELIEVE vinyl and centered it on my white scrapbook paper. Then i cut it to size and hot glued it onto the red paper. I trimmed the paper on the edges with my scissors.

To finish this ornament, I grabbed this Christmas floral pick and pulled off some red berries and and pine sprig. I first hot glued the pine sprig down to the top of the ornament, and then hot glued the red berries on top of that, and………..

Just like that we are done!!!!!!

I hope you will all try to make this ornament and add it to your Christmas Tree this year. I love it so much, and it is definitely HOLLY APPROVED!
