Ingredients

  • 1 store-bought cookie crust or homemade chocolate cookie pie crust
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 2 small boxes (3.4 oz each) of instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 (8 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 10 chocolate sandwich cookies (I use Oreo's)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chocolate Cookie Pie Crust:
First, prepare the Chocolate Cookie Pie Crust, or you can use a store-bought one if you prefer. If you decide to make your own, be sure it's cooled and ready to go before you begin the next steps.
  • Mix the Chocolate Pudding:
In a large mixing bowl, pour 2 cups of cold milk. Add the two small boxes of instant chocolate pudding mix. Using a hand mixer or a whisk, beat the mixture for about 2 minutes or until it becomes smooth and well-blended.
  • Layer the Pie:
Now, it's time to build the layers of your Cookies and Cream Chocolate Pie. Spoon 3/4 of the chocolate pudding on the prepared chocolate cookie crust. This layer will serve as the chocolatey foundation for your pie.
  • Prepare the Creamy Topping:
In a separate bowl, combine the remaining 1/4 of the chocolate pudding mixture with the thawed frozen whipped topping. Gently fold them together until they are fully incorporated. This will create a creamy topping for your pie.
  • Add the Cookies:
Coarsely chop 8 of the chocolate sandwich cookies. Then, fold them into the whipped topping and pudding mixture. This will infuse your pie with delightful bits of chocolate cookie goodness, adding a satisfying crunch and flavor to each bite.
  • Finish with Cookie Crumbs:
Crush the remaining two cookies into small pieces and sprinkle them on top of the pie. This final touch not only adds a decorative element but also provides an extra burst of cookie flavor and texture.
  • Chill and Serve:
Place your Cookies and Cream Chocolate Pie in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or until it's fully set and ready to serve. This chill time allows the flavors to meld and the pie to achieve the perfect consistency.
