These have to be some of my favorite St. Patrick’s Day Decorations I have ever made!!! You can use them in so many ways. I put them on small dowels and added them in this flower arrangement. You could put them on a tier tray, on a wreath, in a dough bowl or basket. There are so many possibilities.
Materials you will need:
-
Green Fabric (I used 4 different prints)
-
Shamrock Pattern
-
Polyfil Stuffing
-
Small Wooden Dowels
-
Glue Gun and Surebonder Glue sticks
-
Scissors
-
Pins
The first thing I did was fold my fabric in half, wrong sides together, and pinned the pattern down.
I cut two shamrocks out of each fabric. You need two cutouts to make one Shamrock.
I then took my Glue Gun and applied my Surebonder Fabric Glue. I ran the glue around the outside edge. Make sure that the edges are secure and completely closed. I glued all the way around but left an opening on the bottom.
When the glue was completely dry, I took my Polyfil and stuffed the Shamrock. Just like you would stuff a pillow. It gives the Shamrock really cute dimension.
Once the Shamrock is how you like, take the glue gun and finish gluing the Shamrock closed. If you are wanting to add the dowel to your Shamrock. Make sure to place it before gluing the bottom shut.
If you add the small Dowel stick, it will look like this.
To add the finishing touches I cut a strip of fabric and tied it around the Shamrock. I made sure to use a different patterned fabric to tie around, and then knotted it in the front.
