I absolutely LOVE having old stacked books to display in my Home. They are just so cute and fun to decorate with!!! The very first time I used books to decorate with was at my sons wedding. I thought it would be fun to show you a picture of those books before I continue on with this Blog. I stacked books together and then stamped different sayings onto them. Here are the books for their Cake. Their wedding was so beautiful!!!!!!

Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
The first thing I did was stack my books in the order I wanted them. (I went to my local Good Will and purchased the red and white book. They were only $2.00 a piece. I already had a blue book so I didn’t need to purchase that one.)
After my books were stacked I took my fabric and wrapped it tightly around the books. It looks so cute but it also helps hold them together. I hot glued the two ends of fabric together, but I did my best to not to get hot glue on the books. You can reuse the books for different holidays, so you don’t want to get glue all over them.
After the fabric was secure and in place, I took my jute string and wrapped it around the books a bunch of times.
I made sure the jute string was in the center of the fabric, the tied the two end securely together. Make sure to leave the ends of the jute string pretty long and after it is tied cut one of the strings off. Like in the picture below.
Next I grabbed four wooden beads and strung them onto the long piece of jute string that was left. To secure the beads, so they wouldn’t slide off, I tied a knot at the end of the jute.
For the finishing touch, I took this darling metal star I had and hot glued it to the end of the jute string. It just looks so cute to me!!!!
To display the books you can either lay them flat or stand them up. Both ways are absolutely darling!!!
You can make stacked books for every Holiday!!! If you can’t find the color of books you want, you can also paint them. It is just a fun and simple way to add BEAUTIFUL touches to your Decor.
