  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef and onion together.
  2. Drain grease then add the remaining ingredients.
  3. Simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Serve on your favorite bun.
  5. You can make it ahead of time and reheat it the day you are going to serve it.

Broccoli Cauliflower Salad

A summer party wouldn’t be complete without a refreshing and vibrant salad. This broccoli cauliflower salad is not only colorful but also bursting with flavors that complement the main course perfectly.

Ingredients

  1. 1 bunch broccoli (cut into florets)
  2. 1 bunch of cauliflower (cut into florets)
  3. 1 medium onion (diced)
  4. 1 cup craisins
  5. 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  6. 4 strips bacon (cooked and crumbled)
  7. 1 cup mayonnaise
  8. 1/2 cup sugar
  9. 2 tablespoons vinegar

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl combine mayonnaise, sugar, and vinegar, set aside.
  2. In a large bowl combine broccoli, cauliflower, onion, and craisins.
  3. Pour sauce over the vegetables and stir to combine.
  4. Chill in fridge.
  5. Right before serving add sunflower seeds and bacon.
  6. Serve and enjoy.

Sunshine Cake

  • 1 (18oz.) box of yellow cake mix
  • 1 (18oz.) can of mandarin oranges with juice
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup oil or melted butter
  • 1 (16oz.) container cool whip
  • 1 small box of instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 (16oz.) can of crushed pineapple (drained)

Instructions

  1. Combine cake mix, mandarin oranges, eggs, and oil. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  2. Put some of the mandarin oranges in right at the end so you have some larger chunks of fruit.
  3. Pour into a 9×13 greased baking dish.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
  5. Mix cool whip, pudding mix, and crushed pineapple.
  6. When the cake is cool frost and decorate the top of your cake. Enjoy!
