Farmhouse HOME Sign DIY

I am so excited about this Blog. If you came to my home you will see signs all over my house. This Farmhouse HOME sign DIY, has to be one of my absolute FAVORITES! I love how each letter is out of a different material. It has a Farmhouse look, so if you love Farmhouse Decor this is for you. This sign is so unique and just makes me HAPPY!!!!!!

Farmhouse HOME Sign DIY

Supplies Needed

Step 1

The first thing I did was take my frame (my frame is 16″ x 18″) and flip it over so I could measure how long I needed to cut my craft sticks so they would fit inside the frame. Then I took a pair of scissors and cut the sticks to the correct length. Also lay the sticks across the frame to see how many you needed to fill it. I ended up using 13 craft sticks for my Sign.

Step 2

Paint all 13 craft sticks with some Off White Paint. You can use any kind of paint.

Step 3

Once all 13 Craft Sticks were dry I glued them into the back of the frame. All the way across. After I got all the Craft Sticks glued in I decided they needed a backing for stability. I took a piece of Cardboard and cut it 13″ x 5″. Then I simply used hot glue to place the cardboard over the sticks.

Now it is time to create the letters. I had so much fun making them!

Step 4

For the “H” I took a craft stick and cut it in half lengthwise. I cut two pieces of the stick 4″ long, these are for the sides. Then for the center of the “H” I cut a piece of the stick 1 3/4″ long. After they were all cut I used Mod Podge and glued them to a book page.

After the Mod Podge was dry I cut the sticks out.

Once all the sticks were cut out, I added Waverly Wax in Antique to the edges and top of the paper. Just to give it color and texture.

Step 5

For the “O” I took a piece of Craft Wire and wrapped it around my paint bottle to make a circle.

Remove the wire circle from the paint bottle and started adding your greenery to make a wreath.

Once all the greenery is glued on, it will look like this.

Step 6

For the “M” I went outside in my yard and cut some sticks off one of my bushes. I cut two pieces of the stick 4 inches long and two pieces 2 inches long. Then I took the sticks and Glued them to make a “M”. Look how cute it is.

Step 7

For the “E” I grabbed some cute Buttons and a piece of Burlap. I glued the Buttons, to the Burlap, in the shape of an “E” with hot glue.

After the glue was completely dry I cut out around the Buttons with my scissors. Look how cute it turned out.

To finish the sign off I hot glued the letters to the front of the Sign. I can’t even begin to tell you, how much I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you all LOVE this sign as much as I do!!!!! You all absolutely 100% have to make it, especially if you love Farmhouse Decor. This is one of my all time FAVORITE crafts. You can watch my Live video of me making this craft here.
