When you’re trying to craft on a budget, it is pretty much necessary to think “out of the norm” so you can be mindful on what supplies you spend your money on… thankfully, you can buy pretty much everything you need for this project for only $1!!! AND, the outcome is beautiful AND unique!
Materials Needed
-
Plastic Easter Eggs
-
Book Pages
-
Ribbon
-
Jute String
-
Doilies & Buttons (not pictured)
-
Mod Podge
-
Foam Brush
-
Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
The first thing I did was take the book pages and rip them into small strips like this. You will need enough strips to cover all six eggs.
Now you just simply mod podge the paper directly to your plastic egg.
Keep going until the egg is completely covered.
Do this to all six eggs.
Now is the fun part! Take your ribbon, buttons & doilies and decorate your eggs any way you like. Get creative and make them your own. There are so many possibilities!!!
The last thing I did was poke a hole in the top of the eggs, to add a hanger. I took some Jute String and glued it down into the hole with hot glue to attach it securely. It was so simple and added the perfect finishing touch!
Look how cute they are hanging on this Twig Tree, I have in my house. I think they turned out so BEAUTIFUL & they are definitely HOLLY APPROVED!!!!!
