You can pair them with vanilla or chocolate frosting for an extra touch of sweetness. So, let’s get started and indulge in the delightful world of homemade vanilla cupcakes!

Here is what you’ll need:

Tools:

Vanilla Cupcake Ingredients:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large egg whites
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt

Vanilla Cupcake Instructions:

1. Preparing the Cupcake Batter:

Preheat your oven to 350º F and line a muffin pan with muffin liners.

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and granulated sugar. Use an electric mixer to beat the mixture for about 1-2 minutes until it becomes fluffy and creamy.

Add the egg whites, sour cream, milk, and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture. Beat lightly with the electric mixer until the ingredients are well combined.

2. Mixing the Dry Ingredients:

In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, adding a few spoonfuls at a time. Mix the batter until the dry ingredients are just incorporated. Be careful not to overmix, as it can result in dense cupcakes.

3. Baking and Cooling:

Fill each muffin liner about halfway to three-quarters full with the cupcake batter. This will allow room for the cupcakes to rise.

Place the muffin pan in the preheated oven and bake for 17-19 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out with only a few moist crumbs.

Once baked, remove the cupcakes from the oven and allow them to cool completely in the pan before frosting. This ensures that the frosting won’t melt or slide off.

Now that your vanilla cupcakes have cooled down, it’s time to add some delicious frosting to complete the treat! You can choose between classic vanilla or decadent chocolate frosting, or get creative with your favorite flavors and decorations. Sprinkles, anyone?

In Conclusion:

These vanilla cupcakes are incredibly versatile, making them suitable for any occasion. The soft and moist texture combined with the delicate vanilla flavor will have everyone coming back for seconds. Plus, they are so easy to make that you can involve your family and friends in the baking process, creating sweet memories along the way.

So, the next time you’re in need of a delightful dessert option, whip up a batch of these vanilla cupcakes. With their simplicity and irresistible taste, they are sure to bring joy and happiness to any gathering. Enjoy the baking experience and the delicious results!
